The waters of Lake Victoria had been rising for a few years and had come up into the farm. The bananas and other crops were destroyed. The hippos were getting in and endangering our farmworkers and eating the fruits and vegetables meant for the children. We are grateful to Pacific Union ASI for their help in repairing and replacing the fence. The new fence has been erected and the farm and workers are secure. The lake has begun to recede. The children are once again enjoying fresh fruits and vegetables from the farm. The final cost of the replacement fence is approximately $7,000. Thank you!
